Important legal principles for digital accessibility in Germany
From June 28, 2025, the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in Germany mandates accessibility for many digital offerings – including company websites. This is based on the requirements of the European standard EN 301 549, which in turn is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA). The goal is to make digital content accessible with as few restrictions as possible.
Our current status
This website is currently partially accessible. We are working to implement the requirements gradually and continuously improve accessibility. Much of the content is already usable without major restrictions, however, some barriers still exist.
Known limitations
Not all images have alternative text.
Embedded videos are currently not fully subtitled.
Some controls still lack a sufficient focus indicator.
Content in Easy Language or Sign Language is currently not available.
